We hated to leave Washington DC but still have many places to go. We are truely in the middle of the Chesapeake. We arrived in Oxford MD, a beautiful coastal town. We anchored in the bay next to the town park. Lucy took us ashore for a nice dinner and walk. This is our dingy, provides great transportation when we are "on the hook".

Our next stop was St. Michaels MD, the blue crab capital. Anchored again, in the town harbor, this is a very picturesque town (VP Cheny has a summer home here). Very nice shops and restaurants. A water taxi picked us up at the boat and took us across the harbor to dinner. Fresh blue crab special, of course.
You can see the Lucky Star in the background of this picture, anchored very close to town.
